About Razia Ghafoori AMFT

Razia has worked in a variety of educational, mental and behavioral healthcare treatment settings. She began her counseling career in the public school system as a School Counselor and as a Substitute Teacher. In Razia’s words, “I began my career as a clinician when I realized the timing was finally right for me to follow my passion for helping others in their journey to becoming their healthy and authentic self.” Razia’s clinical experience includes serving as a case manager, psychiatric research coordinator, clinician, and group facilitator.

Her clinical experience working spans from working with clients as young as 10 years old as well as those in their mid 70s with a variety of diagnoses, including those with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders. 

Razia believes in a holistic approach to therapy and integrates holistic principles in her practice whenever possible. 

Razia received her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from National University as well as a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling from National University.
