No two journeys to a drug-and-alcohol-free life are entirely identical. While one person may only need 30 days to complete their substance use treatment, another person may require a more extended term in our recovery center. Unfortunately, most people cannot afford to stay in a residential treatment center for more than thirty days at a time. They may have a job that they need to get back to or a family who needs them. At Capo Canyon, we want everyone to be able to access the care they need while also completing their other responsibilities.
We offer two distinct extended care addiction treatment options for those in our extended care addiction treatment program. Both have different advantages and disadvantages.

Private Inpatient Care
Around-the-clock residential care in a private Southern California setting. Our clinical team provides individualized treatment and 24/7 support, giving you the space to step away from work and focus fully on recovery.
Our first treatment option is our partial hospitalization program, which some may also refer to as a PHP. Partial hospitalization programs allow our clients to spend the day at our treatment center. However, unlike in a residential treatment program, at the end of the day, participants can return to their homes or to a sober living facility. We recommend this treatment for clients who want additional support during the day but have a stable home life free of drugs and alcohol.
Our second treatment option is our intensive outpatient program or IOP. During this treatment, clients will come to our treatment center 3-5 days a week. However, they can return home or to one of our supportive living residences whenever they are not in treatment.
Regardless of the level of care that a client requires, they will spend a majority of their time at our treatment center in one or more of our therapy programs. We offer a range of holistic and evidence-based therapy options that we can tailor to the needs of the client. For instance, a client’s therapeutic options may include services such as:

As part of our extended care programs, we are proud to offer psychiatric services to our clients. Our clinicians have the training necessary to diagnose, prevent, and treat mental health conditions, which often cause or lead to addiction. Our treatment center addresses both conditions concurrently using a range of therapeutic options, alongside medication if necessary.
